Ugh.

If there would come a time that our house will be invaded by burglars, I'll be in the worst situation.

Why?

1. Our landline is currently inactive.
2. Our cellphones are hidden in someplace I can't figure out where. :(
3. Would you bother opening the computer and ask someone for help using YM while unknown and scary people roam around the place? You'll get caught! (DUH)

That is only an "If" statement. You can consider it as an exaggeration. Right now, I need my phone! People are probably texting me the props I need to make for tomorrow.

MOM! Will you come home already?!

I don't want to cram anymore. T.T

Going to college!
Saturday, August 30, 2008
We recieved this letter just a while ago. Sakto! Kaming dalawa ni Ate Trixie yung nagbabasa. :D Thought it might help you change your mind about your courses. It did for me. Gusto ko tuloy mag-animation.(Kahit late na late na. HAHA.)

--------------------------------------------------------------
hello Carmina & Trixie!

did you know that there are only 2 occassions when you should give advise? 1. when you're asked and 2. when it's a matter of life and death situation.

so since you haven't asked me, i'll consider this as a matter of life and death situation, though you're not actually in any danger of the latter.

So you're going to college and i guess you've made up your mind about what course to take by now. you SHOULD! Because i think this is one of the most important decisions you'll make in your life - aside from getting married =) - i thought i wanted to share with you some of my thoughts.

When i was in 4th year high school, i was advised (though not by my mom or dad) i should also take medicine, condidering we already have the hospital, to have a more certain future. But i knew then that i wanted to be an architect - ever since i was 8!

When the architect of Lola's house showed the plans and drawings of the big house that they were going to build, i said to myself, "Wow! I want to be like that some day!" I had no idea if there was money in it, i didn't know any architect who would help me after graduation. All i knew was that i wanted to draw and design houses and buildings. So now, everytime i finish a project, I can proudly say, I'm living a dream come true!

I may not be as rich as your other titas and titos, but im happy with what i'm doing. i'm making some money and i hope i can make even more in the future! Well, older architects all say architects don't really make it big until they're in their mid-40's...so i'm still on my way there.
So what's my point? FOLLOW YOUR HEART! It's good to listen to what others may tell you, but in the end, it's your decision...your future...your life!

What about the money? Marry someone very very rich! hehe!
Seriously, if you're good at whatever you do, money will come to you. And how do you get to be very good at anything? You should love what you do. It's something you always miss doing, something you can't wait to get your hands on, something you would do for free just because you have passion for it.

It could be anything from drawing, singing, writing, taking care of people, selling stuff, fixing things, computer stuff...the best career to pursue is your hobby. Wouldn't it be a great life to always be doing what you love to do AND get paid for it?

Be not afraid to make your own choice. At least in the end, you won't blame anyone and say...pinilit kasi ako e. There's money no matter what course you take: animation (Disney), music (do i even need to mention names?), architecture (my idol IM Pei), accounting (your tita camille), business (auntie rita), medicine and nursing (your lolo and lola, titas and titos, your parents). So what's their common denominator? They all have passion for what they do!

Follow your heart and good luck! And if your career doesn't give you the money, at least you like what you're doing. Mahirap na yun wala nang money, hate mo pa yung ginagawa mo, right? And if you're good and lucky and get rich...PAUTANG naman!!! =)

Tito Jimster =)
--------------------------------------------------------------

AWWWW.

He should've sent this to us before we took application forms for College! =)) Well, may ACET at DLSU pa naman. Nakoo. Naguiguilty talaga ako na nag-Nursing ako. Kasi naman. Well, thanks anyway uncle Jimster! Love yah! <3

Let me share you a secret I kept for years...

Actually, I really wanted to take-up animation but mom told me I didn't have the talent to make it to Disneyland. That advice pulled me down. That's the time when I also started to put my drawing pad aside and focus on Biology. In reality, I am fascinated with animals and human anatomy but these subjects were nothing compared with the passion I showed in animating and drawing. I have to admit that my drawings suck but that's not the point. The purpose of college is to teach and enhance your skills better. Now I regret having to take-up a subject that is my 2nd favorite. I never dared to write down the course that taught Multimedia Arts so there is 0% chance that I'd get into that course. I can't say mom forced me to take Nursing though. So I can't blame anyone for it.

DAD'S REPLY:
"Maganda nga yan. Kaso, applicable lang yan sa mga walang binubuhay na pamilya. Hindi ko sinasabi na huwag mong sundin yung sinabi niya. Pero isipin mo din sana kung may pamilya ka. Hindi pwedeng kaunti lang ang kinikita mo. Magugutom kayo."

I agree with him too. So, I guess Nursing won't make my life bad.

If by any chance, you are reading this and you are still deciding on what course you want to take-up in college, my uncle's letter and my dad's reply may help you with your decision. I'm not advising you to follow any of these advices. I just thought this could help you in any way. This is called ADVICE. It's a guide, not an order.

Your HAPPINESS relies on your DECISION.

Guess what? =))

Guess what.

1. I was late for the NCAE test a while ago.
2. Answering the test was boring. I'm not saying it's easy. It's just boring.
3. I start thinking why do I have to exist. =))
4. I wish I had a twin sister. :> We would have the same phone, shoes, face, DS and we get to fight every second.
5. I am not aware if there are assignments or quizzes tomorrow. :D
6. If I were to have a twin sister, I want my name to be Sb, my twin would be Sn and we would both be nerd-nerd-freak. :D
7. How do you do the TLE homework?!
8. I am secretly in-crush with someone. (haha! kidding)
9. I can't seem to let go of this one particular post.
10. Are you even reading this?

=))

Camp at Caliraya Lake
Monday, August 25, 2008
There are two days in a week that I hate the most. That would be Thursday and Sunday. Why? I ALWAYS have badluck especially during Sundays. Uggh. A while ago, we just arrived from our trip to Caliraya Lake, Laguna. It would have been MORE FUN if I... well...if it wasn't Sunday yesterday because it was one of the worst badlucks I ever got in my entire life. Why?

1. It was RAINING when we tried to set up camp. It sucks.
2. I was one step close to going back home barefooted. My havaianas got stuck deep in mud. Teyla, Shannon and I tried to wash our muddy feet in lake water but ended up going back MUDDIER. It took about 20 minutes to get my feet off the mud. I had to help the twins get out too. I forgot lake mud could swallow you like quick sand. :(
3. While we were stuck in lake mud, The twins broke an umbrella that didn't even belong to us. (The wind was too strong!)
4. The lower part of my tummy ACHED. I had to stay in the tent while the others went banana-boating. After a while, my mom had to find the nearest clinic to help ease my pain. Whew. Love you mom. I woke up about 7pm. They were having dinner already. Stupid tummy ache. I missed the banana-boating part. :(
5. Mom told me to use an umbrella so I could pour off the rain water that puddled on our temporary roof. (Alam niyo yung mga plastic na ewan na ginagamit na roof sa mga booths sa perya) There. When I poked that puddle-d part of the roof, The water splashed on a guy I don't even know who. He ended up SOAKING wet. My other companions laughed at me saying, "Kawawa naman! Pinaliguan mo ng sobrang lamig na tubig." gulp. Mom's fault! I said sorry anyway.
6. (This is too personal to talk about.)

Before they went banana-boating, We played UNO inside our tent.

(left to right): Gladice, Kuya J.T., me)

That night, the grown-ups set up a bonfire! We played charades and hip-hip-hurray. (wowowee) Hahaha! That was fun!

It was really warm that night, :D

The next day, I was able to get a good picture of Caliraya Lake.

Caliraya Lake

Ugggh. I wish that day would NEVER happen again! Well, the next day (that would be today), it finally stopped raining. Dad finally allowed me to go banana-boating! WOHOO! We swam around the lake first. (the lake floor felt like stepping on carabao poo. Ew.) We were told that we weren't allowed to go if we didn't wear life vests so, we wore them. There! Now we went for a loooong ride! It was SOOO FUN! My badluck experience finally paid off. First, my uncle pulled the B.B. using his speed boat. He asked us, "May hulog o walang hulog?". Of course, "MAY HULOG!!!". We were screaming then eventually fell on the water. =)) We all fell at the same time. HAHA. We fell like, 7 times! We were batch number 1. Batch number 2 was kat(my sister), Kyle, Josef and Rusell. They fell 10 times! One reason they fell was because the speed boat ran out of gas. Haha! They were left stranded in the middle of the lake. Rusell swam back to camp. I couldn't believe he was able to swim that long! He told me it only took him ROTC to be able to swim back there. We jumped off the speed boat and I tried swimming back to camp but my legs got tired. I ended up riding the banana boat again. =p

That's us. We're about to go really fast! :)

I could say that I don't regret going to Caliraya Lake. It was a beautiful scenery. If it wasn't for my 6 badlucks, it would've been part of my MOST UNFORGETTABLE MEMORIES. Anyway, let me tell you, I finished part of my SAPA! :D I found it, nice...for a beginner. :) I used powerpoint. :| I'm still trying to familiarize myself with Windows Movie Maker. Could someone teach me how?

SAPP and SAPA
Friday, August 22, 2008
I just came from school. We arrived at about 6pm. Whew. We watched the Noli.Fili play and it was AWESOME. Rock on Guys. :) Honestly, I expected that I would fall asleep but...I didn't. Haha.
Believe it or not, I start devoting half of my playtime in making "paint" artworks. Don't take it as me painting on a canvass, I draw pictures in Paint! As Patricia and I would call it, "State of the Art Paint Productions" (SAPP). Yeah, you probably don't understand what I mean. Here, let me show you.

Yep. I drew it. Sorry if you find it stupid and childish but This is a "State of the Art Paint Animation Production" (SAPA) meaning paint-created pictures with animation. I'm currently making a short clip now and the picture above is part of that clip. So, you can consider this as a screenshot. :D I'll post the clip once I've finished all the pictures and that would happen in about...2-3 weeks. Okay, now it's stupid AND slow. Sorry. I'm a one-crew person here.

More screenshots? Er, maybe one more. I don't wanna spoil the whole thing. I'm using this as our Religion Activity.

Fine.

1. Ang galing mo gumawa ng layout. :) Turuan mo ko! :D
- Maganda ba? Mukha kayang CRAP. Haha. Thanks anyway. Sino toh?

2. hey how do you do this? (India)
- Err...I read tutorials on how to make blogskins. Learning may take a while though and making one layout may require you to have a little knowledge with Photoshop. That is, if you want a dazzling layout. :)

3. hi 16! belated happy 16! daan lang :))-marian
- ILY, 16. Pano ka napadpad dito? =))

"I'm getting famous by the minute!" :)) kidding. HAHAHA.

Back

Hell week is FINALLY done. [for now] I can't start celebrating though. They say the first quarter is NOTHING compared to the succeeding quarters. Oh demmet.

Before I spoil the rest of my 3 days vacation left, we had PALIHAN yesterday. It was...okay... I can't say it was extremely unforgettable. The school bus had a broken air-conditioner. It was SO hot. :( It's a good thing I was able to stay quiet though. :P I would've whined the whole travel otherwise.

My exam scores SUCK. I have to accept it because I wasn't able to study as I did last year. And I have this new goal of getting 70% scores in all quizzes, assignments, etc. It's the only way I can force myself to study harder. :) Lazy lazy me.

Now, I'm currently feeling lazy. AGAIN. Why shouldn't I? It's not like my scores in Religion get any better even if I studied and... that would result from staying up late at night doing school stuff. I need to manage my time properly.

Elective... I still kinda regret signing up for it. My works slash drawings are being mistaken for scratch papers. He should've told us that we should be an EXCELLENT artist before choosing. He doesn't teach us how to shade pictures or give us practice exercises to improve our drawings. He really should change his teaching strategies. On the other hand, he does have considerations for beginners [like me. :)]

Guess that's it for now. :D I'll update soon.
